SCBWI Europolitan Conference 2015

Date(s) - 04/04/2015 - 04/05/2015
9:00 am - 7:00 pm

Frederiksplein 42 - Amsterdam,

Europolitan Conference logoFINALFor the second time, SCBWI regions in continental Europe were working together to bring their membership a conference packed with workshops, presentations and opportunities to share work. Since the first conference in Paris in 2013, we almost doubled in attendees and were able to bring in a stellar faculty from the US, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand. Attendees could:

•    work with our faculty in small groups to develop their craft;
•    register for a professional critique to get individual advice on their projects;
•    Meet fellow members and potential critique partners;
•    Enter some friendly contests and get their work noticed;
•    Joined us for our Children’s Literature Cocktail Party and Illustrators’ Gallery.

Optional activities included a Friday afternoon Scrawl Crawl through the old city center of Amsterdam, lead by historian Dirk Tang, a peer-critique brunch on Monday, and a Meet My Book event at the American Book Center, also on Monday. Both were for writers and illustrators and a big hit! For a full cover on the conference, please visit our blog with conference reports from writer/illustrator Andra de Bondt and writer/illustrator Pia Drent
